Forward Plate Compactors

Taman Diamond Tools stocks a proven lineup of forward plate compactors for soil, road base and asphalt work from light, highly portable units to heavier plates with higher kN output and optional water tanks for blacktop. Often called a wacker plate or vibrating plate compactor, a forward plate travels in one direction and is the fastest, most economical option for open, accessible ground. Current models span Flextool, Mikasa and Turner Morris, so you can match weight class, engine type and features to the job.

Typical applications:

• Footpaths, paving prep, trenches and patching with lighter plates (48–60 kg).

• Driveways and general sub-base compaction with 80–95 kg units.

• Asphalt work and higher-duty sub-base with water-tank and diesel options.

Forward plates travel one way only. For trenches and confined areas where the machine can’t be turned, or where you need higher centrifugal force for deep lifts, use a reversible plate compactor. For cohesive soils such as clay and silt, a tamping rammer will achieve density that no plate compactor will.
