Where autonomy pays

Autonomous machines suit large, open, repetitive floors, warehouses, distribution centres, supermarkets, factory slabs. They need clear boundaries and space to turn, so they are the wrong answer for cut-up residential work, heavy edge work or floors with constant obstacles.

The honest test is how many uninterrupted square metres you can hand the machine at a time. Above a few thousand, the case is strong. Below that, a remote control machine will serve you better for a lot less capital.
