Power screeds combine a lightweight engine drive with a rigid beam to strike off concrete quickly and consistently. The engine’s vibration transfers along the beam so paste flows and highs and lows are levelled in fewer passes—ideal for paths, patios and wide bays where speed and finish quality matter. Modern units focus on ergonomics: height-adjustable, vibration-damped handles reduce fatigue between pours, while compact frames and kickstands make refuelling and site moves simple.
Power screed blades are straight, extruded aluminium sections that determine your coverage and rigidity. Choose the length to match your work: shorter blades (around 1.8–2.4 m) for footpaths and small bays; longer blades (3.0–4.0 m) to speed big pulls like driveways. Quality blades keep a true edge, resist flex, and clean down quickly. Rounded ends help prevent edge marks at formwork, and simple clamp points make swapping lengths fast.
